The Champions Blog: 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

THE CHAMPIONS BLOG: 1ST ANNIVERSARY

How fast time flies. It's already been a year since the Champions Blog started publishing blogs on Blogger for the first time. A year has passed and this website has amassed 800 views. The Champions Blog will continue to publish blog articles. From me, the writer, thank you all so much for the unwavering support you've produced for the Champions Blog over the past year. Honestly, I thought only 500 views would be the maximum amount I would get, but as shown, I've gone above and beyond. This is the Champions Blog: 1ST ANNIVERSARY special.

All About Me and My Experiences with Football:

One year has come and gone by so quickly, and I know that some of you want to know who I am. Well, here we go. My name is Jay Singh. I'm a 14-year-old kid who lives in the hustle and bustle of Dubai, UAE. I'm sure many of you were expecting a man in his 20s or 30s, but it's just a teenager in his teenage years. Writing is one of my hobbies and I'm an eccentric football fan. Watching football is one of the greatest thrills of my life. When there was a mid-season friendly, between Liverpool and Lyon in Dubai in the winter of 2022, during the World Cup break, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go and watch it live in the stadium. The atmosphere was unlike anything I'd ever experienced when I went inside the stadium. Everything about it was something else. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

My first memories of football came when I was 8. My school was hyping up for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. I had yet to learn what was a World Cup at the time. However, watching a World Cup for the first time was simply sensational. I still remember watching Russia defeat Saudi Arabia, 5-0 on the opening day, then watching Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time, scoring that hat-trick against Spain in that thrilling draw in Sochi, the next day. I also remember watching Messi for the first time in that tournament as well, when Argentina drew 1-1 with Iceland. Then I watched the final between France and Croatia, which was incredible. The thrill, the excitement of a World Cup final was something I'd never experienced before. A core memory in me developed that day, and my love of football has never been quenched since that World Cup.

My first Champions League final was in 2019, when Liverpool faced Tottenham in Madrid. I've seen a few Champions League games before that match, mainly highlights. Watching the final for the first time brought a similar nostalgia to the World Cup final one summer ago. Salah and Origi's goals that night stole the show as the Reds won number six in Spain. I've watched almost every Champions League final since then, from Bayern's triumph in Lisbon to Real's win in London. Watching the Champions League final was a great experience overall.

How did The Champions Blog start?:

I started the Champions Blog for many reasons. I'm an encyclopedia when it comes to football, and I realized I needed to do something with my football. I originally started writing articles in early 2023. The Champions Blog was originally supposed to be called, the Footie Blogger, which would focus on not just the Champions League, but other European Leagues such as the Premier League and La Liga. However, I realized that more attention would be attracted if I focused mainly on the Champions League. Besides, it would've been easier to just focus on one league. I thought, why not do the Champions League, which focuses on all the best teams in Europe. After a while of finding the right platform, I finally settled with Blogger and since last year, I've been publishing article after article.

What's Next?:

The Champions Blog has been releasing blogs about matchday roundups, classic winning squads, and classic matches. However, I'm willing to expand the blog and open up to a new range of article ideas, such as classic squads and their runs, while focusing on one main player. So many ideas are waiting to be published and ready to be read by you. The Champions Blog will continue to be published in years to come. We have a goal to reach 1000 views by the midpoint of 2025 or before 2024 ends if possible. Every view counts.

Overall, thank you all for the unwavering support you've given the Champions Blog within the past year. 800 views and counting and I love every single one. Please continue to read the articles as our goal for 1000 nears every day. This was the Champions Blog.
